• Ÿ  Forensically analyze your vehicle to make certain that it is in pristine condition, even if you decide to sell elsewhere.
• Ÿ  Often, a car’s condition is not representative of its age due to wear and tear. We will inform you if your vehicle is older than its years.
• Ÿ  Check the amount of kilometers that you have clocked up on your car. The average amount traveled by used cars we take in is about 12-15,000 kilometers. Remember, the more distance you clock up, the less your car is worth.
• Ÿ  Check for signs of previous repair. It is important for the customer to know that cars which display evidence of prior servicing and frame damage are worth less. Frame damage is especially relevant, because this can adversely affect a car’s performance.
• Ÿ  Never re-sell frame damaged cars. Such vehicles may not operate properly and customer safety is a priority of Leggat.
• Ÿ  Provide you with uncomplicated paperwork that can be filled out within minutes.

You have been informed by Leggat what the car is truly worth. After weighing up your options, you decide that we are the best option for you. Great news for both parties! When you are ready to sell your used car we will:

• Ÿ  Issue you with an offer that reflects you car’s real worth. Leggat offers the best car prices in Canada. This offer will remain valid for 7 days, giving you ample time to discuss the potential sale with relevant parties.
• Ÿ  Give you the best available price regardless of whether you buy a car off us or not. While we are confident that you will not find a better offer for your next vehicle anywhere else, if for any reason you choose to do business with another dealer, we will still give you the same great deal as if you were buying from us.

When the dust has settled, and the sale is completed, we will:

• Ÿ  Provide you with the necessary legal documents to fill out if you own the used car you are selling. Remember, if there is anyone else besides you on the title, they will also have to complete these forms. At Leggat, we promise to make this a swift affair.
• Ÿ  Contact your financial institution for you to determine your balance if there is a pay-off involved. You may be issued with a bank draft to cover any difference, but again, at Leggat, we will do our utmost to ensure that this is a speedy process.
• Ÿ  Negative equity occurs when the aforementioned pay-off is greater than what your car is worth. We will save you the tedious mathematics and calculate this difference for you. A cashier’s or certified check is accepted as payment, and we will save you the trouble of dealing with your financial institution by paying the difference using this check. In certain instances, negative equity can be included in your financing if you choose to purchase a car from Leggat.
